Video Production

Video production is the creation of a video. The creation of a video happens in different ways such as finding a proposal, writing a script, shooting, editing, effects or graphics and sound editing. The said steps classified in three different categories: pre-production (conception of an idea and the writing of a script), production (the shooting or recording) and post- production (the video editing, sound editing and effects). Video is the best manner to create an impact on an audience, to put stories in the picture, to make the audience care about a problem, to empathize with a person or cause, to create awareness to a specific product, to demo how to do something, or to make them interested to an in depth study of a subject.

The three stages of video editing are:

1. Pre-production, where the video is geared up for filming. It contains most of the following: developing and agreeing a storyboard and a total running time; constructing the shooting script;choosing and finding equipment, sets, locations, props, graphics facilities and music; and assembling the production team.

2. Production, where the video is shot. It engages run through, to make sure everyone understands what each scene or action involves; script revision; shooting and sound recording.

3. Post-production, where all of the elements are gathered into a final video. It usually comprisesgraphics production, caption making and titling, editing, dubbing and overlaying of music and adding sound effects.
